It was around late May 2007 when I 'inherited' an External Linkemail discussion group from Samantha (Perth, WA) after she decided she needed to pass this group onto someone else. From late 2007 to June 2008, I worked on developing my ideas about what this network could be and what I was prepared to do to develop it.

This is no solo effort. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes by other people. I'm advised by a group of people I trust and value for their advice and guidence. I couldn't do this otherwise. I'm just the smuck that is able to 'step up'. The ATSN email discussion group forms the main focus of the network and has proven helpful to many people - both men and women.

The atsn also has an advisory group of men and women who have completed their transition journey.

You could say ATSN is a hobby that takes up more hours than a hobby should. This isn't my full time job, nor is it a business, it's something that started out as an unwitting decision to join a new email group and grew into a time consuming committment. I like putting other people's good ideas into resources and helping folks. It's great fun for me and I hope helpful to you.
